Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital resources and related services offered through showzenki. The offerings focus on Course A show production resources that emphasise balanced technical planning. These include materials and access covering studio setup, lighting design, camera operation, sound control and smooth workflows. The policy governs transactions for online course modules, downloadable guides, video tutorials and any bundled subscription access to these production resources. It does not extend to third-party products or services obtained outside the showzenki platform. All customers in the United Kingdom are subject to the terms described here when placing an order for these educational resources.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Any Additional Charges
All listed prices are shown in British Pounds Sterling. Prices include value added tax at the prevailing UK rate unless stated otherwise. Any additional charges such as handling fees for physical media or premium support add-ons are displayed clearly before checkout. Currency conversion is handled by the customer's payment provider and showzenki accepts no liability for exchange rate fluctuations. Prices may vary for promotional bundles but remain fixed once an order is confirmed. Customers should review the final total inclusive of all taxes and charges prior to completing payment.
Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation and Payment Security
Accepted payment methods include major credit and debit cards processed through secure gateways compliant with UK financial regulations. Payment authorisation occurs immediately upon order submission. Transactions are secured using industry-standard encryption protocols. showzenki does not store full card details. Any recurring payments for subscriptions require explicit authorisation at the time of initial purchase. In the event of payment authorisation failure the order will not proceed and the customer will be notified via email to [email protected].
Order, Booking or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed
A contract is formed when showzenki sends an order confirmation email following successful payment. This confirmation outlines the specific Course A resources purchased including access details for studio setup modules, lighting design tutorials and related content. Until this confirmation is received no binding agreement exists. Customers receive immediate access to digital content upon confirmation. Any booking for live workflow sessions is confirmed separately in writing.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods
Under UK consumer law customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation during which they may cancel without providing a reason. For digital content the right to cancel ends once download or streaming begins with explicit prior consent. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time but refunds are subject to the eligibility rules below. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items or Services
Refunds are available for unused digital resources within the cooling-off period provided no substantial access has occurred. Non-refundable items include completed course modules, customised workflow templates and any promotional bundles where access has been granted. Services such as personalised production planning consultations are non-refundable once scheduled. Eligibility excludes cases where the customer has breached terms of use or accessed more than a minimal portion of the content.
The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund
To request a refund customers must email [email protected] with the order number, date of purchase, description of the Course A resource involved and a clear statement of the reason. Supporting information such as proof of limited access should be included. Requests are acknowledged within five working days. Incomplete submissions will be returned for additional details before processing continues.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification of the Refund Decision
Each refund request undergoes inspection to verify eligibility against the stated criteria. Approval or rejection is communicated via email within ten working days of receiving a complete request. If rejected the email will explain the specific grounds such as prior access to camera operation modules. Customers may appeal once with additional evidence sent to the same address.
Refund Method, Processing Time and When Funds Should Reach the Customer
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing occurs within fourteen days of approval. Funds typically appear in the customer's account within three to five additional working days depending on the card issuer. showzenki provides a reference number for tracking purposes via correspondence with [email protected].
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services or Promotional Offers Where Relevant
Digital content such as lighting design videos becomes non-refundable once playback commences. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers carry the same cooling-off rules but may have shorter access windows. Services involving sound control workshops are treated as bespoke and subject to separate cancellation terms outlined at booking.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments result in order suspension with an opportunity to retry within forty-eight hours. Duplicate charges are investigated upon notification to [email protected] and corrected promptly. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may lead to account review. Suspected fraud triggers immediate account hold and referral to relevant UK authorities while preserving customer rights under consumer protection legislation.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the Target Country That the Policy Cannot Exclude
This policy does not exclude or limit any rights available under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK GDPR or the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Customers retain the right to remedies for faulty digital content or services not provided with reasonable care and skill. These statutory rights remain enforceable regardless of the terms set out above.
